Astrid joined Grant Thornton Malta in 2022 in the role of Office Manager.  Prior to joining Grant Thornton, she spent more than 24 years with HSBC Malta mainly in the Branch Network, Communications / Public Affairs and Corporate Sustainability functions.  During her tenure with HSBC, she was responsible for the organisation of numerous volunteering activities as well as several successful corporate events for both clients and the general public, with the latest event being the Malta Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2020 held under the patronage of His Excellency The President of Malta.

Astrid also served as Secretary of the HSBC Malta Foundation for 7 years and oversaw the completion of charitable projects in partnership with various local and international NGOs.

Astrid graduated from the University of Malta with a Diploma in Management Studies.  Her studies focused on human resources management, marketing techniques, analysis of economics, legal frameworks, quality management principles and techniques, and fundamentals of management.

Astrid’s role within Grant Thornton Malta will mainly focus on maintaining the office organised to increase efficiency and ensure its smooth operations.
