Grant Thornton Malta is proud to announce an important leadership transition as the firm enters a new chapter in its journey. As of 1 January 2026, George Vella has officially assumed the role of Managing Partner, succeeding Mark Bugeja, who retired following years of dedicated leadership and service to the firm.

This transition marks a significant milestone for Grant Thornton Malta, as in 2025, the firm celebrated its 50th anniversary - a testament to five decades of growth, resilience, and commitment to excellence. Much of this success has been shaped by Mark's vision and leadership since his appointment as Managing Partner in 2013. Under his guidance, the firm experienced substantial growth and transformation, strengthening its market position and laying a solid foundation for the future.
