What We Need From You

As an Assistant Manager, you will work under the guidance of the Partners, Directors, and the Senior IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing projects and solutions. You will help in ensuring a balance between scope, time, cost, and quality. Your ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, will be essential. You will collaborate closely with clients throughout the project management lifecycle, from initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing. You will gain expertise in project management, coordinating from pre-project analysis to post-project reviews to help clients navigate their digital transformation journey — shaping project outputs and driving intended business outcomes.

 

Your day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Assist in building and driving medium to large-scale transformational projects end to end, marshalling cross-functional support and resources to accomplish goals.
  • Ensuring timely project completion by planning, monitoring and documenting tasks to ensure deliverables are delivered promptly on budget.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders across the company and clients by fostering effective communication with all those involved.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities by foreseeing and strategically eliminating blockers and potential risks to ensure top-quality results.
  • Assist in managing project financials, including estimates and forecasts, to ensure all projects are completed on budget.
  • Preparing for regular project status updates and distributing timely meeting minutes to ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Assist in conducting post-mortems to capture and share lessons learned to find new ways to improve our working methods.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project management guidelines, processes and templates to ensure consistency across the entire organization.
  • Support implementation by "rolling up your sleeves” and transition seamlessly from high-level to detailed work to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communicate skilfully and appropriately with stakeholders and executives, both written and orally.

 

About You

The minimum criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent education.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in project or programme management.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management.
  • Ability to simplify, structure, and diagnose problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in both Maltese and English.
  • Ability to understand how to mitigate risks and resolve issues. 
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) skills.
  • Experience in Project Management tooling, building project plans, work packages, building project documentation and reporting.

 

Skills to set you apart:

  • Managerial experience leading teams (highly desirable).
  • Project management certification (highly desirable).
  • Exposure/background/passion in CyberSecurity will be considered a plus.
  • Exposure/Passionate about data and A.I. will be considered a plus.
  • Interest in developing project management skills.
  • Ability to ensure that everything is completed on time.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
