Grant Thornton Malta celebrated the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day by participating in a coastal clean-up organised in collaboration with Coast is Clear Foundation.

The initiative focused on the Marsaxlokk area, covering several heritage and natural sites including Fort Delimara, San Lucjan Tower, St Paul’s Battery, Island Sanctuary, Delimara Lighthouse, Għar l-Aħmar Beach, and Il-Magħluq Beach.

Team members from across the firm came together to help restore and preserve these culturally significant coastal locations with impressive results. In total the team collected almost 3 tons of waste which consisted of 203 large garbage bags of mixed waste and numerous bulky items such as mattresses, a TV set, furniture pieces, a sofa, and various other metal and wood debris.

Beyond the clear environmental impact of the clean-up, the day also served as an opportunity for colleagues to reconnect with one another and with nature, strengthening teamwork and shared purpose.

This year’s CSR Day reinforced Grant Thornton Malta’s ongoing commitment to supporting community initiatives that promote sustainability and shared responsibility. These efforts reflect the essence of GT in the Community, our firm-wide pledge to make a positive impact wherever we operate, by bringing people and businesses together for meaningful change.
