It’s an exciting time to be joining Grant Thornton.

As a student at the very start of your career, you’ll be stepping into a firm with ambitious growth plans and a strong vision for the future. We’re committed to finding the brightest upcoming talent to join us on this journey and play a key role in helping us achieve our goals.

We offer internships, apprenticeships as well as the ACCA route!

Our internships give undergraduate students the opportunity to work on real projects and take on meaningful responsibilities every summer, offering hands‑on experience that builds naturally from one year to the next. Your journey with Grant Thornton can start as early as right after Sixth Form, and it can continue throughout your university studies as you progress academically and professionally.

We are committed to supporting you on your path toward qualification, not only during the summer months but also during the academic year itself. Our professional and qualified staff remain available to guide you, answer your queries, and support you with your university assignments whenever you need it. Many students who begin their journey with us through the internship programme eventually choose to join Grant Thornton as full‑time employees once they graduate — a reflection of the long‑term opportunities the programme creates.

The internship experience is designed to help you develop your skills, build confidence, and deepen your business knowledge, all while being fairly compensated for your work. Our salary structure increases year after year to recognise your growing academic progress, contribution, and level of responsibility. Additionally, if you renew your internship agreement, you will receive a monthly allowance during your studies — a meaningful contribution to help support your financial needs as a university student, which also increases each year.

Exciting News for the Next Intake

We’re excited to share that the selection process for our next internship period (July–September 2026) has officially begun. This intake marks the start of our search for a motivated and talented group of students who are ready to gain hands‑on experience and grow with us throughout their academic journey.

If you’re interested in joining our programme, we encourage you to submit your application by sending us your CV, your contact details, and a scan of all your result transcripts achieved to date. This will help us better understand your academic progress and evaluate your fit within our teams.

We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of interns and creating another meaningful and rewarding internship experience. We can’t wait to hear from you!

At Grant Thornton, we’re proud to support MCAST students through structured apprenticeships that blend college-based learning with hands-on industry experience. From the moment you join us, you’ll be part of a professional environment where your growth and development are our priority.

Our apprenticeships are designed to give you exposure to real projects, meaningful responsibilities, and the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a practical setting. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals who are always ready to guide you.

Many of our apprentices continue their journey with us beyond their studies, progressing into full-time roles and pursuing professional qualifications. We’re committed to walking alongside you every step of the way, even during the academic year.

By choosing Grant Thornton for your apprenticeship, you’re not just gaining experience — you’re building a foundation for a successful career.

Our Next Intake

We’re gearing up for our next apprenticeship intake in line with MCAST’s official schedule. Apprenticeship placements typically begin in February, ensuring that students can seamlessly integrate their academic learning with practical workplace experience. If you're an MCAST student interested in joining our team, we encourage you to explore available vacancies on the MCAST Apprenticeship Portal and speak with your institute’s coordinator.

We look forward to welcoming new apprentices who are eager to grow, contribute, and thrive in a dynamic professional environment.

If you're eager to become a trusted business advisor and are on the hunt for a fast-track to a professional qualification, then look no further than Grant Thornton's ACCA program. Our program is designed for individuals like you who are ready to kickstart their career in the world of finance and accounting.

Enjoy 3 years of studying, learning and gaining real work experience, working with organisations of all shapes and sizes across a variety of sectors. We are partnered with reputable and professional ACCA tuition providers, and in just three years, you can become a fully qualified ACCA associate!

So, how does it work?

Firstly, you can join our ACCA program straight after your A-levels, and rest assured that Grant Thornton will pay for all your tuition fees, exam fees and study materials.

You will initially work 20 hours per week to gain a precious and rewarding work experience. You will also attend lectures, study and sit for the ACCA examinations. Grant Thornton will also pay you a salary, a study grant and you will be entitled to paid study leave for every subject that you attempt. There are currently 13 modules making up the entire ACCA qualification.

Apart from the formal ACCA tuition, every summer, we will add value to your normal duties by inviting you to training that will serve both as practical instruction on work related subjects and your personal development. Once you pass the applied knowledge and applied skills stages (in approx. 2 years) you would then start working with us on a full-time basis. The last 4 exams (the strategic professional stage) will be covered during your third year with us. Obviously your salary would increase substantially and you would benefit from all the incentives that are offered to our full-time employees.

Studying and working at the same time will be challenging. But your hard work will pay off with a rewarding career at an ambitious, purpose-led firm that is shaping a vibrant economy where businesses, people and communities can thrive.

What happens then?

Upon qualification, Grant Thornton will reward your great achievement and this would mean a further increase in your remuneration and in your responsibilities. From then on, your career at Grant Thornton will continue to progress, and yes, the sky is the limit! It all depends on you.

The time you would have spent working with us during the initial years of your qualification route would go a long way in fulfilling the requirements to become a warranted Certified Public Accountant after you qualify. Moreover your ACCA qualification is considered at par with a Masters academic qualification and is classified as MQF level 7.

At Grant Thornton we are proud to offer this kind of support to a select number of ambitious students. We pride a work ethic that is second to none and that promises our people to be inspired to make a difference, to value that we are better together, that growth at Grant Thornton is a continuous process and that we encourage our employees to be authentic and unique.
