What We Need From You

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of Value Added Tax (VAT), ensuring full compliance with VAT regulations, leading and mentoring the VAT team, and fostering a collaborative, positive, and results-driven environment.

Your day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of VAT, including compliance, registration, VAT returns, and the treatment of VAT on transactions.
  • Taking a leadership role in overseeing and managing VAT related tasks.
  • Analysing clients' financial data to ensure compliance with VAT regulations and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitoring changes in VAT legislation and communicating their impact to clients.
  • Providing training to clients and colleagues on VAT regulations and procedures.
  • Reviewing and managing VAT returns and ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities.
  • Responding to VAT-related queries from clients and relevant authorities.
  • Assisting in the resolution of VAT disputes and representing clients in VAT-related audits.
  • Conducting reviews of client VAT compliance processes and identifying areas for improvement.

 

About You

The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum 3 years of advanced experience in VAT compliance and/or advisory services, with a history of leading engagements and managing complex client portfolios.
  • In-depth knowledge of VAT regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Qualified accountant (bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACCA, or related field).
  • Any other professional qualification in VAT and experience in other areas of tax compliance will be considered as an asset.
