Further to the positive feedback received by stakeholders on the Fintech Strategy, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has issued Pillar 1 -Regulations Consultation Document.
The document features:
- the presentation of a Regulatory Sandbox to encourage FinTech innovation;
- proposals concerning RegTech and SupTech;
- update on the status of the strategic objectives under Pillar 1 of the Fintech Strategy.
The MFSA is encouraging feedback by means of an online survey, which can be filled in up to 30 August 2019. The Authority, in collaboration with Finance Malta, will also be holding a conference and workshop on 30 July to discuss the initiatives proposed under Pillar 1.
