Mandy has over 14 years experience working on EU affairs and the public sector. She was formerly the Chief Executive Officer at Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta(SEM). During this period, she was responsible for the overall management of the Agency and has provided technical advice to Government on various EU related matters, including EU funding.
In 2013, Mandy joined SEM formerly known as MEUSAC as an executive responsible for EU funding. She was later promoted as Head-EU funding where she provided advice and assisted several organisations to submit project proposals for EU funding. Mandy possesses extensive knowledge on EU funding programmes and project management and has overseen the submission of over 150 EU project proposals.
Prior to joining MEUSAC, Mandy coordinated all EU-related affairs at the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority including liaising with the European Commission on requests for information and acted as a representative of the Maltese Government in working parties and expert groups in the field of competition policy. She was also involved in antitrust investigations in various sectors and in carrying out preliminary findings on proposed mergers and acquisitions.
