Brunella began her career in 2008 at a small accounting firm before joining Forvis Mazars in 2011. She initially worked in accounting and later transitioned to tax in 2015, gaining experience in both direct and indirect taxation before specialising exclusively in indirect taxation from 2017 onwards. During her time at Forvis Mazars, she worked on a wide range of VAT compliance, group restructuring and VAT advisory engagements for both local and international clients. She also became a point of reference for transfer pricing matters and completed a three-month secondment in Budapest to further strengthen her expertise in this area.
Throughout her career, Brunella has combined technical knowledge with leadership and client service excellence, managing teams, delivering training sessions and speaking at local seminars and conferences on indirect tax-related matters. In addition to her work in indirect taxation, she has supported transfer pricing projects through the preparation of transfer pricing reports and related analyses. She is an active member of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) and has served on the MIA Indirect Tax Committee. Committed to continuous professional development, she pursued her studies through ACCA and further enhanced her expertise through a Diploma in VAT Compliance as well as advanced VAT courses delivered by the MIA and MIT.
