Virain is an Assistant Manager at Grant Thornton within the Financial Advisory sub service line of the Transaction Advisory team with a total of 6 years of experience, including three years in Business Recovery and Restructuring and three years in Financial Advisory.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton in July 2022, Virain worked as a Strategy & Transactions consultant at EY Mauritius. During his tenure in the Business Recovery and Restructuring service line, he assisted in a number of insolvency processes including receiverships, administrations and liquidation. He has assisted clients operating in the education, health, energy, hospitality, and food & beverage sectors, amongst others.
Virain has handled companies operating in industries such as hospitality & tourism, retail, real estate, health, energy, food & beverage amongst others. He also has experience in assisting state-owned entities in their ambition to grow innovative industries, through the setting up of financial aid schemes. Virain has exposure to financial modelling, valuations, strategy development, business plans, and financial due diligence.
Virain is an ACCA member and also holds a joint-honours degree in Law and Business Administration; Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Kent, UK.
