Svetlana is a specialist in public sector advisory, procurement and EU funding at Grant Thornton. She works with a diverse portfolio of clients providing strategic support in public advisory, procurement management and the application and utilisation of national and EU funds.
She assists organisations in designing and implementing procurement frameworks, enhancing transparency, compliance and efficiency across different stages of the procurement cycle. She also advises on funding mechanisms and programme management, supporting both public and private sector entities in accessing and managing EU-funded initiatives.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Svetlana held senior positions within the Malta Public Service and public sector entities, where she contributed to policy formulation, regulatory oversight, licensing and administration of EU-funded programmes. Through these roles, she gained extensive experience in public governance, operational management and institutional capacity building across multiple sectors.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Policy and a Masters degree in Public Policy Leadership from the University of Malta. Her academic background, combined with her practical experience in both the public and advisory sectors, enables her to bridge the gap between policy and implementation, supporting organisations in achieving operational excellence, compliance and long-term strategic objectives.
