Malta Startup Weekend, another great success
Last weekend, Startup Weekend took place – 54 hours full of action innovation and education. Two members of our advisory team, Valerie Farrugia and Victoria Darmanin, both Manager - Transaction Advisory Services, were present at the event to mentor the participating groups.
''It was really exciting to assist this fantastic team in developing the idea of an app to help motorists plan their route in advance to avoid traffic jams.'' Said Valerie, following the event. ''A great well done to all the team members for their idea, enthusiasm, for being receptive to advice but above all, for trying to address a problem to the benefit of the maltese society, well done guys!''
''It is energizing to meet talented individuals who work hard to turn their idea into a potential start-up.'' added Victoria. ''I am glad that as mentors during the start-up weekend, Grant Thornton can help them focus and improve their idea, pitch it and get a good head start.''
