Christopher is a manager in our advisory department who joined our team after a number of years in audit, advisory and senior finance roles in industry. His audit experience extends to large local entities including Enemalta Corporation, the Central Bank of Malta and the Malta Shipbuilding, as well as private sector clients in manufacturing, insurance, hospitality and property development. Chris has a number of years experience in the provision of advisory services. In particular he carried out special assignments including valuation of companies (in the communications, hospitality and textiles industries), investigations, value for money audits, feasibility studies and cash flow projections, participation in business process re-engineering assignments, debtors' management and set up of a budgetary control function for a large company. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Chris occupied the position of Finance Manager and Financial Controller with Simonds Farsons Cisk plc and Coastline Hotel Company Limited respectively, where he managed a team of accounting officers and had overall responsibility for accounting and financial control. During his time with Grant Thornton Chris has also been involved in managing a number of accounting and internal audit assignments. Chris has lectured on financial reporting at the University of Malta and the Malta Institute of Accountants. He holds a B.A. (Honours) Accountancy, a Practicing Certificate in Auditing and is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants. |
